MNC.One bags Godrej Prakriti, Phase III in Kolkata!

Pleased to announce that MNC.One has been awarded the Architectural and Structural design consultancy for Godrej Prakriti, Phase III in Kolkata.

Godrej Prakriti is a premium residential complex,within which Phase III consists of 8 nos 20 storey Towers with approximately 1100 apartments in all and a total built-up area of 1.4 million sqft.

The Post: OneDesign, Gurgaon, requires young graduate (only B.Arch need apply) architects between 1-4 years of experience

The Skills: Interest in design development and detailing is a pre-requisite. Exceptional presentation skills, using Photoshop, Sketchup or 3DS will carry major weightage in selection. Please apply with a brief portfolio attached or a link to your web-portfolio.

The Work Profile: Preparing presentations are likely to be only about 25% of the workload. Majority of involvement would be on design development and working drawings, so good AutoCAD skill is expected, but we are confident we can train the young candidate on these aspects over time.

Remuneration: Salary would be in the range of Rs 3.0-4.2 lakh PA, based on skill and experience, other than a variable annual performance bonus. We also prefer NCR based candidates, but outstation candidates may apply and attend interview at their own cost.

We’ve Been Busy, this Jan 2012!

Its been a good start to Y2012 for OneDesign and MNC.One team. Quite a few projects with some very reputed clients kept us busy this first month of the year, which explains the lack of updates in our site for a long time.

To start with, we booked a Design Management contract with Emaar-MGF to manage a 400,000 sqft commercial complex in Gurgaon. Scope includes all Pre-Construction Management activities up to award of construction contracts and subsequently, to ensure design compliance at site. This was followed by a corporate interior project for Gujarat Fluorochemicals (known for their INOX Leisure brand of multiplexes all around the country). Soon to follow was a comprehensive design contract with Homestead for a 77 acre township design in Haryana, including masterplanning, infrastructure, villas, housing floors, commercial complex, nursing home, primary school, the works! And just to top it off, on the last day of the month, we bagged a prestigious redevelopment project for the Laketown city market in Kolkata in a PPP project with Municipal Authorities and Green Concretex.

Over and above, we are now forced to move to a larger office in Feb 2012. That isn’t an easy project either, as anyone who has done their own office or home would swear! Thats scheduled for mid Feb.

MNC.One wins Design Competition for Commercial Complex at New Kolkata!

Pleased to announce that MNC.One has won a competition invited by New Kolkata Development Authority for design of a neighborhood shopping complex at Rajarhat, an upcoming suburb and extension of Kolkata.

The design proposal envisaged a simple, minimal, two-level design with perishables in the lower level and clean retail and community spaces at the upper level. The focus was to exhibit boldly, the movement of people within the complex through a series of open and closed panels as elevation elements, simultaneously bringing in natural light and air. The concept allows to effectively hide the perishable zone, which is usually noisy and dirty, from the immediate residential neighborhood while exhibiting the community interaction spaces like cafe and movement at various levels.

We will update the project images as the design develops.

Mosaic at the Marbella!

The commercial complex at Gurgaon being developed by Emaar-MGF (as announced in this post) and tentatively named “Mosaic at the Marbella”, is now in the schematic design stage. OneDesign has adapted the classical Spanish architectural style of the Marbella township and  interpreted it in its own contemporary vocabulary.

The complex consists of 3 levels of retail and another 4 levels of small offices. The key design elements are an open-to-sky atrium, large community plaza at two levels and shops that look into either a plaza or the atrium.

Shopping and Office Complex at Amritsar

One Design has been recently commissioned for masterplanning of a Shopping-cum-Office (SCO) Complex in Amritsar, Punjab, along with the design of a KFC drive-through outlet within the complex. The complex consists of approximately 60 individual shopping and office plots, varying between 60 to 150 square yard each.

The scope of OneDesign includes Urban Design, Civil works, Electical and Public Health infrastructure, along with hard and soft Landscape and Structural design of the double level KFC outlet. We will keep our site updated as the design progresses.
